Steve Coyne:

Steve started out at a young age playing banjo and singing in a children's group called The Bunker Hillbillies. He appeared on a number of local TV shows and even appeared with some of his band mates in the East Room of the White House for President Nixon at a National Boy's Clubs of America celebration.

After graduating from that group, he realized that he needed music in his life and taught himself how to play the keyboard. Pretty much a hobby for many years, in his thirties Steve reformed the Bunker Hillbillies at the Boys and Girls Club in Charlestown and the St. Augustine Country Bumpkins in Andover.

During this time Steve got together to jam with some of his old friends and they realized they could put out a sound that gave birth to the rock and roll cover band, Ground F\X who have been playing out on the North Shore since 2001. Still having the urge to do more, Steve recently joined RipChord and is looking forward to trying some different material and possibly some original material as well.
